What is it?
The platform fee is the Helpers fee for using the platform. It is split into two clear parts so you always know exactly what you are paying for and how you can lower your costs over time.

One part is for your safety. A fixed insurance fee of 3.6 DKK per hour covers your work‑injury, liability, and accident insurance with Tryg, keeping both you and the customer protected on every job.

The other part keeps the platform running and improving. This is a variable platform fee that decreases the more times you clean for the same customer. Loyal, high‑quality service means you get to keep more of what you earn.
FAQ – Platform Fee for Helpers
1. What does the platform fee consist of?
• Insurance fee: 3.6 DKK per hour worked.
• Variable platform fee to Happy Helper (incl. VAT): a percentage of the booking value that depends on how many cleanings you have already completed for that specific customer.
2. How is the variable platform fee calculated?
• 1st cleaning with a customer: 10 % of the booking value
• 2nd cleaning: 8 %
• 3rd cleaning: 6 %
• 4th cleaning: 4 %
• 5th cleaning and every one after: 2 %
The counter never resets. If you have already done four cleanings for a customer, you automatically pay only 2 % on the next and all future bookings with that customer.
3. Why is the fee progressive?
We want to reward Helpers who provide consistent, excellent service. As you build trust and long‑term relationships with your customers, you keep a larger share of every booking.
4. Example calculation
Imagine a three‑hour booking at 160 DKK per hour (total booking value 480 DKK). It’s your third cleaning for this customer.

Insurance fee: 3 hours × 3.6 DKK = 10.8 DKK

Variable platform fee (3rd cleaning = 6 %): 6 % of 480 DKK = 28.8 DKK

Total platform fee: 10.8 DKK + 28.8 DKK = 39.6 DKK

Amount paid out to you: 480 DKK – 39.6 DKK = 440.4 DKK

Why do I have to pay it?
Besides insurance, the platform fee covers a number of other things. First and foremost, the platform provides and matches you with customers, whom you can clean for. In addition to this, we also make it certain that you get your payment for every cleaning - also if the customer doesn’t pay.
Furthermore, you also have access to our live-support team who will help you with any and every issue or questions you may have.
Lastly, and most importantly, the platform fee will be used to cover expenses related to developing and improving the platform for everyone. We have a lot of things that we would like to improve, and your contribution helps us with that.
