When you are working as a Helper you are working as a freelancer, but you are at the same time representing Happy Helper and the Happy Helper platform. In other words, you need to be professional all the way through. From the work you deliver, to your communication with the Booker.
Show up on time: It is very important that you show up on time. In some cases, the customer is waiting for you to give an intro tour of the house before leaving for work. If you somehow are delayed make sure to notify the customer straight away. If you can not find the Bookers address please contact them and make them guide you. If you can not get a hold of them, then call Happy Helper Support asap. Do not send an email. In most cases, we do not see it in time to help you.
No show: Make sure to attend all your bookings. If you are in any way prevented, please contact the customer as soon as you know. Make sure that they get your message. If they do not answer through the inbox send them an SMS and call them directly.
If you make a no-show we will try to contact you. If we can not get in touch with you we will unapprove your profile until you reply.
Smooth communication: Communicate with the Booker. It is crucial for you to maintain a good relationship with the booker. It also shows that you are being service-minded. Check your missed calls, SMS inbox and your Happy Helper inbox for new messages. If you need to go on vacation tell the Booker in due time. It is better to be upfront about this rather than wait until the last week/day before your vacation. Make sure to answer all calls and messages as quickly as possible. A suggestion could be to save the Bookers number in your phone contacts so you know if they are calling.
The cleaning: It goes without saying that you need to do your best when you are cleaning a Bookers home. If there are any obstacles preventing you from doing that, it could be a vacuum cleaner, missing equipment or cleaning products, make contact with the Booker and make them aware of what you are missing to do a perfect job. They do not know unless you tell them. This also goes for the duration of a booking. If you need more time ask the Booker for it asap. That is much better than leaving a task(s) half-finished. A half-finished cleaning might just result in a bad rating because of a Booker complaint. You are the only one that can determine how much time there is needed for the cleaning. If you are in any doubt about anything, contact the customer.
Vacation/Leaving Happy Helper: If you are going on vacation, make sure to notify all of your bookers in due time so that they are able to find a replacement. Remember to set your profile in passive mode. You will find the button under the tab 'account settings'. This mode makes sure that you will not receive new bookings while you are on vacation.
Your time as a Helper is probably limited. In other words, you will probably leave the platform at some point. To accommodate this we have added a box on your profile under the tab 'account settings', where you are able to set a stop-date. This is important because when you get close to your stop-date it will put some automatic features into motion that makes it easier for your Bookers to get a new Helper to replace you. Remember to make your customer aware of your stop-date maybe a month or to before is due.
